World Card Making Day Card #1

I am actually scrapping again!!! It feels wonderful!
I am participating in World Card Making Day at Stamp Nation (where I just became a member)

Challenge #1 was USA theme - with a bandana as the inspiration
It took some searching but I FINALLY found an old CTMH paper pack that had a bandana theme....I'm still certain there was a red one also but for the life of me I couldn't find it and decided to go with this blue/green/chocolate one. Here is my supply list:

chocolate card stock and chocolate ink
sentiment is part of a zip strip from Clementine paper pack (retired)

My Niece's Wedding Book

My Niece met her future husband through playing soccer.  I designed this page when I found out that they took their engagement pictures wearing their soccer uniforms
The Proposal Layout - Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture after putting the finishing touches on and COMPLETELY forgot to get a picture of the right page.  There is a flip flip on this page so the bride can  journal the details

This is a "to-be-assembled" page with several tags about the planning details included with coordinating numbers

This is a double page layout with a 1/2 page added in the middle which acts as a divider between the two showers

Close up of the slit made in the page protector to add the invitation
This shows the shower layout with the 1/2 page open. This right page also has a 6x12 flap on the right which opens to show a Burch Family tradition
This layout includes a 1/2 page that acts as a divider between the two parties.

Pawpaw's 87th Card

I know it's been a looong time since I posted a honest to goodness card well ANYTHING handmade & crafty for that matter.  In my defense, we are in the middle of a crazy DIY kitchen make-over.  Truth be told, I haven't done much crafting in the past year, and the few cards I have made....I forgot to take pictures!

This past weekend I was inspired after a visit to the Pasadena Stamp & Scrap Fest to get my fingers inky once again.

I am REALLY wanting to start participating in some papercrafting challenges....but I seem to have forgotten several important bloggy things (like how to put in a hyper-link).  I plan to read over my notes in between coats of stain (in the kitchen) and my normal day-to-day chores (does laundry EVER end????) and come back to edit this post to show which challenges I have entered.

For right now I will just give a quick list of items used on the card below the picture.....then if I get it all figured out I will come back with more details
