Gift Card Wallet

On June 10th Annabell Lara will be the hostess at my 2nd ever gathering.  When I saw  this awesome card on the blog of  fellow CTMH consultant Annette Green I knew right away it would be our project this month.

Of course Father's day was the first event that came to mind. But then I remembered that June is also graduation month....

.....and my husband's birthday!  Just think of this card filled with gift cards (both home-made & store bought) and pictures of your guy's favorite people.

Here are the  measurements & directions to make this wallet:

1. Cut a piece of chocolate card stock 9 x 3 1/2 inches. Emboss if desired.  (I used a  the alligator print from Cuttlebug) and sponged black ink all over for a distressed look
2. Cut a piece of coordinating pattern paper the same measure. (this is like the lining of the wallet - I used a print from "Pemberly")
3. Round all four corners of those two pieces, then glue together. (I tried everything! A wet glue like ZIG or Zip Dry will work best)
4. Score this unit at 4 7/16 and 4 9/16 inches.
5. Cut another piece of chocolate card stock 8 1/2 x 3 1/4 inches.
6. Score that piece at 4 1/4 inches. Round bottom two corners only.
7. Cut 2 pieces of chocolate card stock at 4 3/16 x 2 inches. This is the first, deepest, pocket on the left and right side. Round the bottom right of one and the bottom left of the other. I stamped stitches across the straight edge.
8. Cut 2 pieces of chocolate card stock at 4 3/16 x 1 1/2 inches.  Round the corners like in step 7, then stamp stitches.
9. Assemble the inside of the wallet as shown in the photo, making sure to use super sticky tape or wet glue on three sides of all pocket pieces so you can slide things in and out easily. (you might have to trim the inside edges of the pockets when assembling to allow for the fold

Call me NOW if you would like to book a gathering.  Everyone that attends will get to make this or another custom project.  And YOU will earn FREE CTMH goodies.

This is the announcement, taken straight from the blog of CTMH founder Jeanette Lynton.  I am so honored to be in the company of such talented ladies.

Lasso A Stamp Set—Contest Winners!

Early Convention greetings! It's Monica here, and with just two months left on the calendar, we are busy and excited at the corporate office for Convention 2012 in Dallas. It is really going to be the party of the year, and in many ways, the party has already started—whether that's through great logo items you can order, or incentive contests you can participate in, or sharing travel plans on the bulletin boards, the anticipation of this great show is a favorite part of my job.

This year, we added another fun component to the pre-Convention excitement—a great artwork contest, inspired by Consultant Bren Yule! Anyone who knows Bren knows she is a creative genius, and the Convention reminder postcard got her creative wheels spinning. It was such a cute postcard, she said, why not incorporate it into a scrapbook layout? And even better, why not encourage Consultants to submit that artwork for a chance to win prizes? We couldn't agree more!

We had dozens of darling and different entries for our Lasso A Stamp Set contest, and we promised to select three winners who would each receive a stamp set of their choice from the not-yet-released Autumn/Winter Idea Book. But, after much deliberation, we decided it was too difficult to choose just three. We loved them all, but because we couldn't choose them all, we widened our winners' circle to FIVE. I absolutely love their fresh artwork and their sheer enthusiasm for Convention. Here are the photos of their winning pieces—congratulations and thanks to:
Heather Stewart!
Carolyn Burch!
Tamra Pope!
Lucy Imrie!
Kristin Wessell!
Thanks to everyone who entered, and big cowboy congrats to our five winners, who will each receive their favorite new stamp set. You're all stars—now let's see you shine bright in Dallas this July!

Ok, I will do my best to settle down (stop doing a happy dance every 10 minutes) and get busy finishing up some more artwork to share with all of you.

This will be the project for my very first CTMH gathering!  I used the Dotty For You Collection (which is this month's special - Send $35 and get this fun, springy paper pack for just $5).  The flowers are cut from my brand spankin' new cricut using the CTMH AP cartridge and stamped with the "Hooray Bouquet" stamp set.  The words are from "A Little Everything" stamp set
